Since the last general election in March 2008, there has been 9 by-elections in Malaysia : Permatang Pauh, Kuala Terengganu and Bukit Gantang parliamentary constituencies, and Bukit Selambau, Batang Ai, Penanti, Manek Urai, Permatang Pasir and Bagan Pinang state seats. The score now stands at Pakatan seven and BN two.

This is definitely a rakyat initiative to spread the message of change, door to door.

After a long drought, its quite exciting in a way to have another by-election again. On Sunday, April 11, it was an impromptu meet by Dave Low, Pris, Benz Ng and Paul Wong at the wharf to drive up to Kuala Kubu Baru for a quick tour of the place. We left KL at about 2.30pm and it was a pleasant 1 1/2 hours ride in Dave’s E320.

We also made an unexpected courtesy call to Antares’ abode as it was located not too far from the Selangor Dam. We introduced ourselves as bloggers from KL and known to Zorro and Whisperer and Haris. It was very nice of Antares to welcome us and we had an interesting chat.
